I’m delighted to see the Mahoning Drive-In Theater, nestled in the scenic Pocono Mountains of Lehighton, Pennsylvania, is once again featuring “The Wild World of David Lynch” this August. On Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22, 2026, attendees will take an on-screen trip to Twin Peaks with showings of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and the pilot, special guests in person, including the woman whose fate started it all, Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee), and a live performance by David Lynch tribute band F You, Tammy.
WHAT IS THE MAHONING DRIVE-IN THEATER?
Constructed in 1948, The Mahoning Drive-In Theater, located at 635 Seneca Road in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, began screening films in summer 1949 with their first film, the Warner Brothers musical April Showers. Since then, the theater has continued showing classic and cult movies on 35mm via twin Simplex E-7 projectors that throw celluloid images upon the biggest outdoor Cinemacope screen in the state.

With capacity for 1,000 vehicles, this classic destination has a snack bar filled with film memorabilia and vintage VHS, DVDs, and records for sale. They also have an open door policy for their projection booth, offering guests a peek at a cinema from another era.

On August 21-22, 2026, the Mahoning Drive-In will again celebrate the unique genius of David Lynch with a 35mm screening of his 1992 masterpiece, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, and a digital screening of the Twin Peaks pilot which first aired on the ABC Television Network on April 8, 1990.
They will be welcoming four cast members from the series including Sheryl Lee (Laura Palmer), Dana Ashbrook (Bobby Briggs), Michael Horse (Deputy Hawk) and James Marshall (James Hurley) to the theater both nights. These talented actors will meet with fans and sell autographs and photos!

On Saturday night only, the dreamy F*ck You, Tammy! will play an hour-long set of songs from the director’s filmography under the massive Mahoning screen, setting the mood for the weekend.

F*ck You, Tammy!, also known as “The Band From Another Place,” was formed in 2017 by lead singer Devery Doleman, bassist/ vocalist Julie Rozansky and drummer Nate Smith. They had assembled a supergroup to play a Halloween show with Julee Cruise and Angelo Badalamenti songs from Twin Peaks.
Inspired by the music in the air, they continue playing as a band today and have been described as “lustrous, lurid, cinematically sexy” and “one of NYC’s best live groups […] I was not prepared for the level of musicianship, the incredible attention to detail and the sheer intensity of their performance.“
