The Twin Peaks fan community is filled with incredibly kind people. There is a small group of us – Bookhouse Boys and Gals if you will – that are dedicated to researching, archiving and preserving the history of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s wonderful and strange show. One such individual is 1400 River Road who has…

Sheryl Lee’s gave an astounding performance in David Lynch’s Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. With each viewing, I am increasingly impressed with her abilities as an actress to convey such raw emotion as Laura Palmer. Twin Peaks Publicity – Portrait of Laura Palmer and Dale Cooper in the Red Room

Steven Miller11 mins

The ending to David Lynch’s Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is incredibly beautiful. Laura Palmer weeps for joy upon seeing her angel as the stalwart Special Agent Dale Cooper stands by offering comfort. On-set photographer Lorey Sebastian captured moments from this ending in a series of publicity photos. This time, I’m looking at photo slide…

Twin Peaks Publicity – Carl Rodd and Special Agent Dale Cooper at the Fat Trout Trailer Park

Steven Miller01 mins

I’ve professed my love of the first 35 minutes of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me on numerous occasions. I’m particularly drawn to the original Fat Trout Trailer Park, which were the first scenes shot on Sept. 4-5, 1991 in Snoqualmie, Washington. The former Riverside Mobile Home Park is long gone but, like a magician,…

Twin Peaks Publicity – Albert Rosenfield and Dale Cooper Discuss Autopsy

Steven Miller01 mins

As a follow-up to the deep dive into the Twin Peaks Morgue scene written by Harley Peyton for Twin Peaks episode 1.003, I’m looking at another publicity photo from my collection. This image of Albert Rosenfield (Miguel Ferrer) and Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) is unique in several ways. We never see this exact exchange in…

Twin Peaks Publicity – Agent Cooper’s Nemesis Windom Earle

Steven Miller01 mins

One of my favorite characters from the second season of Twin Peaks is Agent Cooper’s nemesis Windom Earle. Played by the late Kenneth Welsh, this publicity photo was captured around the end of March 1991 as the final episode were being filmed in Southern California.

Twin Peaks Publicity – Joan Chen as ‘Vulnerable Outsider’ Josie Packard

Steven Miller01 mins

The character of Josie Packard in David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks was originally meant for Isabella Rossellini. Her character would have been named Giovana Pasqualini Packard. When scheduling didn’t work, Joan Chen was cast as the “vulnerable outside” as described in a March 1990 publicity photo.

For the second season of Twin Peaks, ABC Television commissioned additional publicity photos such as these images of Joan Chen and Michael Ontkean. Based on research, it appears the image was captured on the Blue Pine Lodge set in Van Nuys, California around the time episode 2.004 was shot in August 1990.
