ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE ANCESTRAL LANDS OF THE SNOQUALMIE INDIAN TRIBE (sdukʷalbixʷ)

Salish Lodge & Spa perched above Snoqualmie Falls

The Snoqualmie Tribe is the original steward of the land in Snoqualmie Valley and has lived there since time immemorial. The 268-foot Snoqualmie Falls holds profound spiritual significance for the Snoqualmie people. It’s a sacred site that is central to the Tribe’s creation story, where prayers are carried up by the mist into the sky.

The Real Twin Peaks event and its attendees honor the enduring presence, cultural heritage, and sovereignty of the Snoqualmie people. I express gratitude for their stewardship of these lands and waters, and recognize their ongoing contributions to the region.

Learn more about the Ancestral Lands Movement and how people can help the Tribe in respecting, restoring, and protecting these lands.
