In honor of the 26th Anniversary of the theatrical release of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me on August 28, 2018, I share this love letter to Ray Wise’s performance as Leland Palmer during the famous Intersection and Mo’s Motor scene. The range of emotions he displays is nothing short of spectacular.
The former Brook Theater in Snoqualmie, Washington served as the film location for Mo’s Motor in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. This now demolished film location holds a special place in my heart thanks to the 1996 Twin Peaks Fan Festival and Craig Miller and John Thorne’s excellent Twin Peaks magazine, “Wrapped in Plastic.”
In Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, Mo’s Motor is a service station that Leland and Laura Palmer visit after being accosted “out of the blue” by Mike, the One Armed Man. The former building was located in Snoqualmie, Washington and made a brief appearance in Twin Peaks season two.
