In a previous article, I discussed the location of Leland and Laura Palmer’s scene in front of Mo’s Motor from Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. The service center is located next to an intersection that serves as the backdrop to two important scenes from David Lynch’s feature film motion picture and Twin Peaks Part 6 on…
In Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, Mo’s Motor is a service station that Leland and Laura Palmer visit after being accosted “out of the blue” by Mike, the One Armed Man. The former building was located in Snoqualmie, Washington and made a brief appearance in Twin Peaks season two.
During the 1996 Twin Peaks Fan Fest, I visited the site of Weyerhaeuser’s former Snoqualmie Mill. For some reason, this is the only photograph I took of the mill that once served as the exterior location for the Packard Sawmill in Twin Peaks.
“Blow the whistle, Josie. It’s quittin’ time.” What does the Packard Sawmill look like without people? As a follow up to a Setting the Stage article, I’ve compiled images from the Mill for a new Vacant Peaks story. The images are taken from the Pilot Episode, Episode 1007, Episode 2001, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, and The…
The interior scenes at the Silver Mustang Casino floor in Las Vegas, Nevada were actually shot at the Morongo Casino located at 49500 Seminole Drive in Cabazon, California.

The mill played a critical role in most of the first season of Twin Peaks before being destroyed by a fire set by Leo Johnson. This article takes a look at the exterior locations of The…
It’s time to explore Dr. Lawrence Jacoby’s office like Donna Hayward and James Hurley in Twin Peaks Episode 1007. This Vacant Peaks article shows empty sets, props and details without people. His set appeared in Episodes 1001, 1005, 1006 and 1007 as well as The Missing Pieces from Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. Cue the Hawaiian music.
[Cue “Deer Meadow Shuffle”] I’ve previously shared how much I love for the first 30 minutes of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. There is something mesmerizing about the interactions between FBI Agents Chester Desmond and Sam Stanley. Shortly after Gordon Cole introduces them, the Agents head toward Deer Meadow, Washington to examine the body of…
As the Twin Peaks Fan Festival returns to the North Bend and Snoqualmie area in Washington State, I’m reminiscing about my first (and only) visit in August 1996. Attending the fan fest with my buddy Joe, we visited many of the iconic film locations including Salish Lodge and Snoqualmie Falls. Here are several photos from…
