About Twin Peaks Blog

My name is Steven Miller and I’m a super fan of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks. While a high school senior in September 1993, I borrowed the soundtrack to David Lynch’s Wild At Heart from my local library in Columbus, Ohio. Unsure what to expect, I fell in love with Angelo Badalamenti’s otherworldly tones and quickly sought out other music by the talented composer. Enter Twin Peaks.

The soundtrack was magnificent – the album cover, with an iconic image of an empty road at the foot of snow-capped mountains, invited me into a mystery. The back cover contained character images from a series I had never seen (sadly I missed the original broadcast on the ABC Television Network in 1990-1991). Songs like “Laura Palmer’s Theme,” “Into the Night,” or the “Love Theme To Twin Peaks” were on constant rotation. Julee Cruise’s voice echoed in my dreams every night.

A month later, I discovered the pilot episode and the first season were available on VHS at a Grove City library. I played hooky to binge all seven episodes and the rest is history.

Launched in February 2018, TWIN PEAKS BLOG documents my experiences with a show that has consumed my life for more than three decades. This site is living, breathing archive about this wonderful and strange world where a yellow light still means slow down, not speed up.

A few friends – Bookhouse Boys and Gals, if you will – have joined me in a quest to preserve and archive all aspects of Twin Peaks, from identifying film locations and props and set decorating to documenting promotional materials and production history. We hope you enjoy our discoveries as much as we enjoy finding them!

On October 31, 2024, I launched a companion site – Wonderful And Strange Blog – which is a caffeinated exploration of pop culture, entertainment, travel, photography, and endless other obsessions. Vist WonderfulAndStrangeBlog.com

See you in the trees.
