About Twin Peaks Blog

My name is Steven Miller and I’m a super fan of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks. While a high school senior in September 1993, I borrowed the soundtrack to David Lynch’s Wild At Heart on vinyl from the library. Unsure what to expect, I fell in love with Angelo Badalamenti’s otherworldly tones and quickly sought out other music by the talented composer. Enter Twin Peaks.

The vinyl soundtrack album was magnificent – the album cover, with an iconic image of an empty road at the foot of snow-capped mountains, invited me into a mystery. The back cover contained character images from a series I had never seen (sadly I missed the original broadcast on the ABC Television Network in 1990-1991). Songs like “Laura Palmer’s Theme,” “Into the Night,” or the “Love Theme To Twin Peaks” were on constant rotation. Julee Cruise’s voice echoed in my dreams every night.

A month later, I discovered the pilot episode and the first season were available on VHS at my library in Grove City, Ohio. I played hooky one day just to watch it. The rest is history.

Launched in February 2018, TWIN PEAKS BLOG is my attempt to document my continued experience with a show that has consumed my life for more than three decades.

On October 31, 2024, I launched a companion site – Wonderful And Strange Blog – which is a caffeinated exploration of pop culture, entertainment, travel, photography, and endless other obsessions. Vist WonderfulAndStrangeBlog.com

I also see this site as a living, breathing archive of a wonderful and strange show that I love dearly. A few friends have joined me in the quest to preserve the show and feature film’s history. As Bookhouse Boys, we hope you enjoy our discoveries as much as we enjoy finding them.

I love connecting with fellow Twin Peaks fans. Please send a note if you have questions or suggestions, or if you simply want to say, “Hello-o-o-o!”

See you in the trees.
