As someone who once held 29 1/2 hour Twin Peaks marathons during my college years, I love themed gatherings centered around my favorite wonderful and strange show. On February 28, 2026, fans in Arlington, Virginia can enjoy A Night in the Black Lodge, an immersive experience born from two art and David Lynch obsessed [Bookhouse] gals who once held private Twin Peaks parties at their home. This event promises a wild mix of art, music, nostalgia, mystery … and yes, really good pie!
A NIGHT AT THE BLACK LODGE ON FEB. 28, 2026
At the Night at the Black Lodge, attendees will step into the “dreamlike world and celebrate the art of David Lynch with an unforgettable night of surreal mystery and offbeat beauty with art, vendors, games and music.”
Long ago, event organizers Crystal Micriotti and Jen Brill threw a ‘Twin Peaks Day’ party, never anticipating it would become their favorite annual holiday event.
“This yearly tradition gave us continuous inspiration and fun projects to dive into,” explained Crystal. “We enjoyed making new art, games, sculptures and projects each year. But space was limited at our home parties in Oracle Ranch so we moved the party to the DC area.”
You can see photos from previous gatherings on their Facebook page at @NightAtTheBlackLodge
This ticketed event will be held at The Renegade, located at 3100 Clarendon Boulevard, PL-10 in Arlington, Virginia.
This Rock and Roll restaurant and club will transform into the small town with a population of 51,201 with visuals from the world of Twin Peaks. Attendees can explore surreal art installations inspired by Lynch’s dreamy logic.
“This isn’t just a party,” said Brill. “It’s a slow drift into another world.”
Guests are encouraged to dress in their best Pacific Northwest attire: 1950s diner chic, Black Lodge doppelgängers, flannel-wrapped secrets, FBI suits, owls, or just something that feels “not quite right.”
Tickets for the 21+ event are $30/advance $40/door and the doors will open at 7:00 p.m.
They are anticipating the event to sell out so get tickets now by visiting this page.
SPECIAL GUESTS FOR A NIGHT AT THE BLACK LODGE

This themed night at The Renegade will include live music and dark, dreamy performances by “F*ck You Tammy.” Also known as “The Band From Another Place,” this group was formed in 2017 by lead singer Devery Doleman, bassist/ vocalist Julie Rozansky and drummer Nate Smith. They had assembled a supergroup to play a Halloween show with Julee Cruise and Angelo Badalamenti songs from Twin Peaks.
Inspired by the music in the air, they continue playing as a band today and have been described as “lustrous, lurid, cinematically sexy” and “one of NYC’s best live groups […] I was not prepared for the level of musicianship, the incredible attention to detail and the sheer intensity of their performance.“
They recently released their debut EP, ‘Sycamore Trees’, which is available via Bandcamp.
Wait in the Fire will also perform during the event. This darkwave/ambient group is the brainchild of long time 51 Peg drummer Brian Fasani, a collaboration with various musicians to craft haunting and cinematic soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from the eerie and enigmatic worlds of David Lynch, the brooding atmospheres of The X-Files, and the nostalgic yet ominous tones of Stranger Things, Wait In the Fire creates music that “evokes the solitude and introspection of midnight drives, exploring themes of loneliness and the ambient beauty of the night.”

Richmond, Virgina’s “dark-voiced bard” Ryan Kent will perform his poetry between musical sets. A former frontman of the metal acts Gritter and Murdersome, Ryan traded guttural stage screams for searing spoken word stillness. His poetry is not for the faint of heart – his words that sting the conscience and linger like a half remembered dream.
Kent is the author of the poetry collections Poems For Dead People, This Is Why I Am Insane, Hit Me When I’m Pretty, Tomorrow Ruined Today (with Brett Lloyd), Some Of Us Love You (with Brett Lloyd), and Everything Is On Fire: Selected Poems 2014-2021.
Harry Goaz, who played Deputy Andy Brennan, is also scheduled to make an appearance during the night. I spent time with Harry during the “Behind the Badge” event in North Bend, Washington this past August. He is incredibly funny and quite the talented photographer.
Event organizers have also assembled a wonderful community of Twin Peaks-inspired artists who “make the kinds of things you didn’t know you needed.” Look for the following vendors:
- Cherry Pie Specials by Acme Pie Co.
- Soft Belly Cookies
- Bella’s Tchotchkis
- Lady Vile Art
- Temple of the Rose Tarot Readings
Thank you to Crystal and Jen for contacting me about this event. I hope it is a success and I can’t wait to see photos.
ARLINGTON’S CONNECTION TO TWIN PEAKS

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Arlington, Virginia’s connection to Twin Peaks. In Part 5 from Twin Peaks: The Return, there is a brief establishing shot of the notable United States government building, the Pentagon which is also located in Arlington. This footage was pulled from stock video created by Artbeats in 2011. The clip is described as “Slow approach to the Pentagon at night.”
