I love finding alternate publicity photos from the Twin Peaks pilot. These images give a first look at what would become a groundbreaking event in April 1990. This time, I’m looking at a photo of Audrey Horne (Sherilyn Fenn) taken during filming at Kiana Lodge in Poulsbo, Washington in March 1989.
AUDREY HORNE IN THE DINING ROOM FROM THE TWIN PEAKS PILOT
This four-inch by six-inch printed photo features Audrey Horne (Sherilyn Fenn) standing near a Victoria Arduino Family coffee machine in the dining room of The Great Northern Hotel. The scene was filmed at Kiana Lodge in Poulsbo, Washington. While her character was strongly encouraged not to interrupt the Norwegian’s breakfast meeting, Audrey boldly walked into the dining room to express her sadness.

Before this publicity photo was taken, Audrey crossed in front of coffee machines and candles during the episode.

This alcove is the same spot where Josie Packard was seen at the beginning of the pilot applying makeup in her mirror.

Audrey stops by the coffee machine when speaking with the Norwegians. The publicity photographer had a different angle than Director of Photography Ron Garcia’s camera.

The Mauve Zone has an alternate full body image from same scene. Her outfit is the same one scene when she exits Salish Lodge & Spa in Snoqualmie, Washington which served as the exterior of The Great Northern Hotel.

In a Twitter response from May 2, 2020, Sherilyn Fenn shared that the clothes used in Pilot were mostly from her closet. Nevertheless, it’s such an iconic scene that foreshadowed the mischief Audrey would cause throughout the show.
