Snoqualmie Falls, Washington Postcard from Hi-Way Distributing Corp.

Snoqualmie Falls at sunrise

Lately, I’ve been sharing vintage postcards of Snoqualmie Falls from my extensive “Real Twin Peaks” collection from Snoqualmie Valley, Washington. In this age of digital communication and social media, modern day postcards are becoming more challenging to find. Yet, there are companies still producing them such as Hi-Way Distributing Corp. of Barberton, Ohio. As part of their State Stuff collection, the iconic and scared falls are featured on their Washington state postcard.

The front of the Washington state postcard from Hi-Way Distributing Corp. features an image of Snoqualmie Falls as seen from the base of the 268-foot waterfall. The image was captured at sunrise based on how the sun is positioned in the sky. Interestingly, Salish Lodge & Spa is not seen in the photo which was either removed by the photographer or fog and mist were covering the hotel.

I then found the original used on a webpage about “Health Environments for All” on the Equity.Wa.Gov website. It appears Hi-Way Distributing Corp. adjusted the colors for the postcard to give it more of an orange glow.

Most likely, this card was produced between 2020 to 2024. I’ve been unable to locate the exact publishing date or when exactly the image was taken.
