The music from David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks is inextricably linked to their wonderful and strange world. Angelo Badalamenti’s tunes were my gateway to a decades long journey and I never tire of listening to the soundtrack. That’s one reason I’m thrilled the OR-E-GON Symphony is featuring this music during a hauntingly surreal evening on Wednesday, May 28 at Portland’s historic Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. It promises to be an evening to remember for fans of the show and Lynch’s work.

PORTLAND’S ARLENE SCHNITZER CONCERT HALL
Constructed in 1928, the Portland Public Theatre was later renamed the Paramount Theatre. The Italian Rococo Revival architecture was said to be the national showcase of renowned Chicago theatre architects Rapp & Rapp.

Thanks to a generous donation from Portlanders Arlene and Harold Schnitzer, the theatre was beautifully restored. Locals now call it “The Schnitz.” The venue plays host to a variety of presentations including classical, jazz, pop, rock, folk and gospel music, dance, theatre, travel films, conferences, and weddings. This will be a spectacular place for the dreamy music of Twin Peaks!
Tickets are available in a variety of price ranges depending on where you want to sit. I imagine this concert will fill up quickly so get tickets here.
