Hear The ‘Twin Peaks’ Soundtracks During Pitchblack Playback on Apr. 5, 2025

The music of Twin Peaks was my gateway to David Lynch and Mark Frost’s wonderful and strange show. Decades later, I can’t get enough of the dreamy jazz synth that transports me to another world. I was recently contacted by Owen Van Spall, a programmer at Riverside Studios in London, about an incredibly unique opportunity to hear the iconic Angelo Badalamenti soundtracks like never before during Pitchblack Playback on April 5, 2025.

WHAT IS PITCHBLACK PLAYBACK?

Screen One at Riverside Studios in London

Imagine sitting in the darkness, blindfolded, as Angelo Badalamenti’s “Theme to Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me” slowly creeps into your ears. Al Regni’s disjoined saxophone notes give way to Jim Hynes’ trumpet playing the main theme’s notes. That is the magic of Pitchblack Playback – attendees will have a listening session in the dark inside Screen One at Riverside Studios, located at 101 Queen Caroline Street, Hammersmith in London.

Twin Peaks and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me Soundtracks

Attendees will hear the foreboding soundtracks from the original 1990 Twin Peaks Season One soundtrack and the soundtrack to David Lynch’s 1992 film, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. They will be played loud in uncompressed audio on the powerful Screen One cinema sound sound system. No distractions; just you and the music. Ticket include Pitchblack Playback eye mask for extra darkness (Frank Booth would love it!).

One-third of each ticket sale will be donated to the David Lynch Foundation UK.

The entire performance will run 120-minutes with a 10-minute intermission. It’s critical that attendees arrive by the event start time as latecomers will not be admitted and refunds will not be offered

The show will be held on April 5, 2025 beginning at 16:00 (4:00 p.m.) and general seating is £12.0.

TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE HERE

Lovers of Angelo Badalamenti’s ethereal scores for Twin Peaks should also check out Riverside’s DAVID LYNCH DAY on 29 March which will feature Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive.

Four film titles from David Lynch

The films will be shown on Screen One during the following times. Tickets are available at the links below.

Thank you to Owen for the heads up about this event. Following the recent conversation about Twin Peaks music during the Real Twin Peaks 2025 event, this sounds like an incredibly unique experience where music will be in the air.
