Twin Peaks Stars Align at North Bend Theatre’s Walk of Fame

The stars have turned and a time has presented itself at the North Bend Theatre in North Bend, Washington. With the Real Twin Peaks 2025 event a little over a month away, the theater recently installed its first two stars for its Walk of Fame – the handprints of Twin Peaks stars Kyle MacLachlan and Sheryl Lee captured during special events in 2024.

At the Real Twin Peaks 2024 event on February 24, VIP ticket holders were treated to a surprise guest at the North Bend Theatre. Kyle MacLachlan, who played Special Agent Dale Cooper, Dougie Jones, Richard, and Mr. C in David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks, spoke with attendees for nearly 40 minutes. The conversation was facilitated by long-time fan and local Snoqualmie resident Karl Reinsch.

Prior to the conversation, Kyle covered his hands in oil and pressed them into two cement squares.

A few months later in mid-August, Sheryl Lee returned to the North Bend Theatre for three screenings of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. Screenings were held on August 16-17, which was 32 years after the theater hosted the film’s United State premiere during the first Twin Peaks Fan Festival. After each screening, her theatrical booking agent Mike McGraner facilitated sessions where Sheryl answered attendees’ questions and then signed autographs.

Prior to the Q&A session, Sheryl pressed her hands into three different cement blocks. Theatre owner Beth Burrows added oil to Sheryl’s hands to ensure they wouldn’t get stuck in the cement block.

She posed for a candid shot following this first attempt. It was definitely time to “wash her hands!”

Here is a look at the three different autographed handprint blocks she made during this special event.

The final cement block was the most difficult one to create. There were power outages during the 7:00 p.m. screening which caused the cement to set. Sheryl had to press her hands very firmly to leave a mark.

It looks like Sheryl’s handprints are from the 7:00 p.m. show on Saturday, August 17, while Kyle’s handprints appear to be the first impression he made. The handprints and autographs were placed above stars with the actors’ names.
