Twin Peaks X Society6 – Log Without Lady

Twin Peaks X Society6 - Log Without Lady

It goes without saying that The Log Lady made quite an impression on the Twin Peaks community. Catherine Coulson brought this wonderful and mysterious to life and we all greatly miss her presence in this world. That’s one reason I’m delighted to share artwork from Cristina Zavala that is part of the Twin Peaks 30th Anniversary collection featured this month on Society6.

Every day in June 2020, Society6 teamed up with Showtime to release new Twin Peaks artwork inspired by David Lynch and Mark Frost’s masterpiece. New artwork is released daily from artists all over the world (Twin Peaks is truly a whole damn world)!

JUNE 13 – CRISTINA ZAVALA

Cristina Zavala sketched a heartfelt piece of The Log being cradled in the Log Lady’s hands.

The design reminds me of a calling card that Catherine Coulson used to give out. It was printed in an October 1992 issue of “Film Threat.”

In that interview, she discussed her relationship with the Log,  “I don’t want to sound at all strange … But I’ve grown very fond of this log. I do feel an empathy and connection with it.”

That issue also contained this incredible image of Catherine Coulson with David Lynch’s father Donald performing a “minor bark transplant” on the log. Wow!

Browsing her work, I stumbled upon some great artwork inspired by Season 3 including this drawing of Mr. C. “Fuego Camina Conmigo” is translated to “Fire Walk With Me.”
