In April 2012, Copro Gallery in Santa Monica, California hosted a group art exhibition celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. The show, curated by Rob Wilson and in association with David Lynch, was a Twin Peaks fan’s dream. This Art Peaks article takes a closer look at “The Peek” by Scott C. created especially for the show.
COPRO GALLERY IN SANTA MONICA
Located at the Bergamot Arts Complex at 2525 Michigan Ave T5 in Santa Monica, Copro Gallery was founded in 1992 by Joe Copro, Greg Escalante and Douglas Nason as “an entity to curate art exhibitions of emerging artists and publish the highest quality limited edition prints.”
The gallery is divided into two exhibition spaces, and the large Twin Peaks group exhibition, which was staged in a former train station, took up several rooms.

The exhibition included all of the artists from a previous show Twin Peaks show from 2011.
On opening night, I attended an an artist reception featuring deejay Dean Hurley playing unreleased music from Twin Peaksand many surprise guests such as Laura Palmer, Lenny Von Dohlen, Sherilyn Fenn and more. That is a whole other story for another time.
ARTIST SCOTT C.
Scott Campbell (Scott C.) was one of the artists invited to participate in this show. Scott, who has worked at Double Fine productions as Art Director, creates paintings, illustrations, comics, kid’s books and video games. You may recognize his work from critically acclaimed games such as Psychonauts and Brutal Legend. Alongside this game career, he has “published numerous comics and created paintings that have appeared in galleries and publications around the world.”
I was completely mesmerized by his piece titled “The Peek.” It shows Special Agent Dale Cooper still trapped in the Black Lodge, passing time by vacuuming the brown-and-cream-colored chevron floor.
His 14″ x 11″ watercolor on paper item sold for $850 that night, which isn’t surprising since it’s incredible.
Months later, Scott described this print on his website. The “Peek” is a nod to the Little Man from Another place “peeking” from behind the red curtains.
“What happens after hours in the Red Room? A bit of tidying up happens. Agent Cooper probably just had an amazing dream in this room and felt the need to clean up a bit. He’s got a curious admirer though. Do you see him? Can you find the peeking fellow? He’s a backwards talking sort of fellow. This print might look nice over the baby’s crib or near the dog’s play zone.”
The piece was such a sight to see in person. I’m so thankful I took several images of it that opening night. I wonder who owns the original today.

Around September 12, 2012, Scott teased three prints coming to his website including “The Peek.”
The hand signed, archival giclee art print had an edition size of 300. It measured 13″ x 16″ and had a one inch border.
How did I miss buying this?!
There was also an AP release version released for SOFA Con, an online event that showcases brand-new, exclusive artwork for sale from fan-favorite artists from all over the world. Again, I missed this one too.
At least someone out there in the Twitter-sphere picked up one of the prints. You can see additional text along the bottom.
