Love Letter To Lucy’s Sweaters

Lucy's Sweaters

While researching the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Department for stories on Twin Peaks Blog, I realized Lucy Moran Brennan (Kimmy Robertson) LOVES sweaters! Just how many sweaters? Take a look in my love letter to Lucy’s sweaters in Twin Peaks.

The episodes/Film/parts where the sweaters appear are listed beneath each photo (e.g. 1001 = Season 1, Episode 1; 2001 = Season 2, Episode 8, etc.).

Interrupting this love letter to point out that the sweater Lucy wears in Episode 1002 makes another appearance in Episode 2005 (you’ll see it again below in Episode 2012, thus making it the sweater Lucy wears the most in the Seasons 1 and 2). The sweater from Episode 1003 returns in Episode 2004.

A word about the fashion show outfit from Episode 2017 … Dick Tremayne describes her outfit as:

Our little Lucy is wearing a delightful mix of warm, northern comfort and southern insouciance. An elegant worsted wool jacket over a plethora of plaid with a hint of polka dot. It’s fabulous, isn’t it? A moonless night black slim skirt for the look that always says, “Hey, world, I’m here.”

Her outfit appears to have a sweater under the wool jacket. And in Episode 2018, I believe it’s an oversized cardigan sweater (though it could be an oversized jacket).

She even wore a cardigan sweater to a rehearsal for the Miss Twin Peaks Contest!

I also included images from The Missing Pieces deleted scenes from Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me as seen above. Her outfit is reminiscent of the one she wore in the Pilot Episode

Up next is a look at Lucy’s sweaters from Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime.
