Call For Help: Seeking Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me Script with Script Supervisor Notes

Script and Angel

I watched as time ticked away – eight, seven, six. At the five second mark, I placed my bid on Ebay. It was a whopping $4,247 for the Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me script containing Script Supervisor Cori Glazer’s handwritten notes from 1991. When I saw the item posted by Studio David Lynch several days ago, I yelled at my computer screen, “It belongs in a museum!” Now, I was seconds away from being able to digitally preserve a treasure from my favorite David Lynch film. This special script would have become a series of articles detailing the production of Lynch’s masterpiece, for all Twin Peaks fans to enjoy. There is just one challenge – I didn’t win. I lost by the oddly specific total of $50.00. Most likely, a snipping bot was set up to win even in the final seconds of the auction. I never had a chance. So now, I extend a “call for help” to that winning bidder. To paraphrase Little Jimmy Scott, “I got idea, man.”

This particular script was the second of two scripts written by David Lynch and Robert “Bob” Engles on August 8, 1991. This was a few weeks away from production beginning on September 4, 1991 at the Fat Trout Trailer Park, know as the Riverside Mobile Home Park in Snoqualmie, Washington).

Each page of the script contained an additional page where Cori would write details about the various takes. In addition, the script pages contained numerous scribbles notating changes in dialogue and other details.

Here is a look at the sides which you’ll notice are much thinner than Cori’s script as previously discussed.

The inside of a page showing dialogue from Special Agent Dale Cooper at Wind River and description of the flash forward to a year later after he records the memo to Diane.

These would have been great to add to my collection yet it was the Script Supervisor script that would have unlocked so much.

When David Lynch passed on January 16, 2025, Cori posted her photo with David explaining how she first started working with him.

“In 1988, I got asked to work on a short Directed by David Lynch called ‘The Cowboy and The Frenchman.’ I had only been a Script Supervisor for 3 years but during that little 3 day shoot, I thought if I only ever worked with 1 director again for the rest of my life, this is who I want to work with.”

“I GOT IDEA MAN” – A PLEA TO THE WINNING BIDDER

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me

If you are the winning bidder, I’d love to connect with you (my email is TheTwinPeaksBlog@gmail.com).

If you have spent anytime on Twin Peaks Blog, you’ll recognize the importance I place on archiving every detail of Twin Peaks. When I made the bid, I only wanted to digitally preserve the Script Supervisor’s script, meaning every page would be scanned at a high-resolution and saved for future generations. Digital preservation will ensure a treasured document like this doesn’t go up in flames.

If I would have won, I would have used the script to create a recurring series of articles and videos (heck, maybe even a podcast like “All the President’s Minutes” for which I’d love to speak to various fans about these scenes).

I actually don’t need to hold onto the physical script and would consider compensating the winner for usage of the script. Did you really plan on bidding $4,279 or was my high bid a surprise to you?

Ultimately, this article is a plea or perhaps a prayer to an angel. Maybe after all these words, I will manifest the script into existence (thank you Mary Hütter for the encouragement). For now, I’m left with only dreams of what might have been.
