The final event for Real Twin Peaks 2025 had the Pacific Northwest “magickal” music duo Wisteria Lodge returning to play at Twede’s Cafe in North Bend, Washington. Their performance was part of “Pie-N-Cry,” a gathering of Twin Peaks fans to pay tribute to the late David Lynch.

Twede’s Cafe in North Bend, Washington held “Pie-N-Cry: Community, Coffee and Celebration” from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025. The small town cafe served as the film location for the Double R Diner in David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks. It was also the first spot where filming took place for the Pilot episode on February 21, 1989.

In the wake of David’s passing on January 15, 2025, fans left heartfelt tributes and memorials outside the cafe. The memorial was removed temporarily while filming took place at the cafe during the week ending February 18.

Rachel and Max were overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for David: “Thank you to everyone who brought flowers, notes, pictures, trinkets, cigarettes, cookies, bottles of coke, Knick knacks, messages of love, or just took a moment to pay tribute. He lives on through all of us and the worlds he dreamed up.”

The memorial was back in place by February 20 just prior to the start of The Real Twin Peaks 2025 event. The Pie-N-Cry event seemed like the perfect way for fans to gather and share in their grief after the beloved director’s passing.

I’m grateful for Rachel and Max’s continuous support of the fan community. Since assuming ownership in early 2020, they have made Twede’s Cafe a warm and inviting place. These are the kind of people Cooper mentions in episode 1.003 – “I have only been in Twin Peaks a short time, but in that time I have seen decency, honor and dignity.”

Wisteria Lodge’s two-hour set began just around 5:00 p.m. I set up the camera near the register to record the entire show. The video above runs about 1-hour and 43-minutes and you’ll see people coming and going inside the cafe while Lady K and Dusty Highway play.

The corner where they were set up is the same one seen during the Twin Peaks pilot.

Lady K wasn’t the only one dressed in an outfit inspired by the waitress uniform. Here, Laura Haskell, fresh from her panel discussion about Twin Peaks Fashion a day earlier, joined for a photo.

Nearby, Wisteria Lodge strategically placed a photo of David Lynch on the Coke machine, a nod to his now iconic quote – “I just had two cookies and a Coke. Phenomenal.” Coca-Cola couldn’t have asked for better free advertising.

The set list at the February 24 show was completely different than their previous night’s concert at the North Bend Theatre. Music played included a mix of covers along with songs from 2023 release “Spoken Secrets” and their 2025 album, “Odessa Plains.”

I was happy to hear from favorite track, “Mercy,” which was how I was first introduced to the band during the Real Twin Peaks 2023 event.

For a duo, they pack a lot of punch into their performances. Lady K’s vocals are on another level while Dusty Highway’s (Dustin Carpenter) guitar skills are a perfect match.

I love photographing their shows as they are wonderful onstage with playful banter and raw emotion. Here are a few additional shots from the evening.

Congratulations Wisteria Lodge for another “magickal” performance in the place where pies go when they die.
