Real Twin Peaks 2025 – Wisteria Lodge Plays North Bend Theatre on Feb. 23

As part of the Real Twin Peaks 2025 event in Snoqualmie Valley, Washington, the Pacific Northwest “magickal” music duo Wisteria Lodge played the historic North Bend Theatre in North Bend on February 23. The first of two shows that week for Lady K and Dusty Highway, the Sunday night performance was filled with high energy, dreamy sounds and a few surprises.

WISTERIA LODGE PLAYS NORTH BEND THEATRE ON FEBRUARY 23, 2025

The North Bend Theatre hosted Wisteria Lodge in concert beginning at 6:00 p.m. The duo is no stranger to this celebration of the towns where David Lynch and Mark Frost filmed the series and 1992 motion picture. They have been performing at The Real Twin Peaks event since the first one held in February 2023.

At the time of the show, the classically trained vocalist Lady K and outlaw multi-instrumentalist Dustin Carpenter (“Dusty Highway”) were finishing their sophomore album, “Odessa Plains.” It was released on June 1, 2025 via Bandcamp.
“After burying a mutinous coward in a shallow grave, The duo known as Wisteria Lodge find themselves in an unfamiliar time and place. Without hesitation, Lady K and Dusty Highway move through memories and epiphanies together towards their dreams.”

They would play a few tracks during the show along with a handful of songs from their first album “Spoken Secrets” and some covers of other popular tunes.

As the crowd gathered for the show, I was asked to introduce the band. What a honor to take the same stage where David Lynch introduced his masterpiece Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me on August 16, 1992 for its North American debut. I’ve been enamored with their music since first seeing them perform their song “Mercy” at the Snoqualmie Valley Eagles two years earlier.

Toward the end of their performance, the town of North Bend experienced a power outage. All the lights went out and unbeknownst to me, my camera had stopped recording. But this small challenge didn’t stop Lady K and Dusty Highway from performing. They led the crowd in an impromptu a cappella rendition of “Just You” as first heard in Twin Peaks episode 2.002.

Throughout the performance, images and video were projected on the theatre’s red drapes. I particularly like they included footage of the Palmer House found in Everett, Washington. It’s the house exterior seen in both Lynch’s 1992 film and Twin Peaks: The Return.

The concert was more than just music – they filled the space with entertaining banter and playful expressions for days.

Their energy on stage was astounding, especially when playing music from their more gritty second album, “Odessa Plains.”

In between songs, the duo also spoke about the late David Lynch who had passed only a few weeks prior to the event. His presence was felt all weekend and Wisteria Lodge channeled his creative spark into their nighttime performance.

Congratulations to Dusty and Lady K for a wonderful show that was the perfect way to wrap up Sunday’s festivities during The Real Twin Peaks.
