Since David Lynch’s passing on January 15, 2025, I’ve been moved by the number of events, film screenings and tributes to the beloved artist. He truly touched the lives of so many creative individuals with his approach to The Art Life. Long-time Twin Peaks fan and talented musician Bob Hoag contacted me about a special tribute presented by WASTOIDS taking place at the Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix, Arizona on Apr. 10, 2025.

WASTOIDS’ “Always Music in the Air: A Tribute to David Lynch” will feature a live band of Phoenix, Arizona’s “weirdest” Lynch fans playing more than two hours of memorable music from his expansive film catalog. The brainchild of Jason Woodbury and Mitch Freedom, this concert will benefit victims of the recent devastating Los Angeles wildfires.

The show will be held at the historic Crescent Ballroom, 308 N 2nd Avenue in Phoenix, on Thurs., Apr. 10 beginning at 7:30 p.m. (Doors open at 6:30 p.m.).

Music will be performed by members of the bands JPW, Dad Weed, Sureson, Roar, Meet The Sun, Astrologer, The Melroses, Spiritual Warfare and the Greasy Shadows, JFunk, Harrison Fjord, Sun Punchers & more. The show will have music from the late composer Angelo Badalamenti’s film scores, complete with strings and horns.

Bob shared he is playing drums at the concert, and he gave me a sneak preview of the playlist. WOW, BOB, WOW! It’s not a show to be missed.

The air-filled music will be paired with visuals by Wastoids and Duwaun Johnson of Country Brothers podcast, a Country podcast hosted by twin brothers who who are brothas and love honky tonk and country tunes, will serve as emcee.

General Admission tickets for the 21+ show are: $15 – 20 + fees while Bleachers tickets are: $25 – 30 + fees.
