Real Twin Peaks 2024 – Twin Peaks Trivia Contests

Inside Volition Brewing Co.

In what city does Carrie Page live in from Twin Peaks season 3? If you knew the answer to that question, you would have loved playing the three different Twin Peaks trivia contests during the Real Twin Peaks 2024 event. These free activities were held at three different breweries in Snoqualmie Valley on Friday, February 23. Each contest had a varying degrees of difficulty – Expert, Mid-Level and Entry.

TWIN PEAKS TRIVIA CONTESTS AT THE REAL TWIN PEAKS 2024

For the 2024, there were three different locations that held trivia contests – Expert level trivia with Josh Eisenstadt at Snoqualmie Falls Brewery in Snoqualmie; Mid-level trivia with Steve Lange at South Fork in North Bend; and Entry Level trivia with Josh again at Volition Brewing Co. in North Bend.

The biggest challenge with these free activities was timing – I only attended the Expert and Entry level games due to the Wisteria Lodge concert during first dinner at Twede’s Cafe from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

EXPERT LEVEL TRIVIA AT SNOQUALMIE FALLS BREWERY

If you responded, “Odessa, Texas” to the previous questions, you would have scored points in the expert level game.

Snoqualmie Falls Brewery, located at 8032 Falls Avenue Southeast, Snoqualmie, was opened on December 20, 1997 by “five beer geeks” – Pat Anderson, David McKibben, Dave Eiffert, LeRoy Gmazel and Tom Antone. Anderson formulated the original beers, and the initial batch of each was brewed by McKibben who was assisted by Anderson.

The Wildcat IPA is their longest running beer (it’s no coincidence the Mount Si High School mascot in Snoqualmie is also called the Wildcat).

In 2017, the brewery released Ghostwood, a Kölsch style ale, that is a direct nod to Twin Peaks and Ben Horne’s proposed development.

The Expert Level trivia was held on the second floor of the brewery. The contest began at 4:00 p.m.

Attendees gathered at tables around the second floor while Josh Eisenstadt explained the rules to the game. Josh had previously held these kinds of contests at previous Twin Peaks fan festivals.

Expert Trivia award

The Expert Level champion would take home a unique trophy designed by the Queen of the Real Twin Peaks, Mary Hütter.

The handcrafted trophy was bathed in an golden hue.

Josh wrote so many questions based on all three seasons of Twin Peaks, the 1992 feature film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and much more.

MID-LEVEL TRIVIA AT SOUTH FORK IN NORTH BEND

Steve Lange held the Mid-Level trivia at South Fork, located at 14303 436th Ave SE, North Bend. This spacious facility, bar and restaurant opened on October 1, 2022. Owner Luke Talbott also uses the space for his other business, Compass Outdoor Adventures, a tour and team building company. Their grand opening was held on April 11, 2023.

The contest began at 6:30 p.m. If you’d like to share photos from this free activity, please contact me via email at TheTwinPeaksBlog@gmail.com.

ENTRY-LEVEL TRIVIA AT VOLITION BREWING CO. IN NORTH BEND

Josh Eisenstadt return to host Entry Level trivia at Volition Brewing Co. located at 112 W North Bend Way, North Bend. This brewery opened in 2019 but the building had existed for decades. Originally, Ward Glazier purchased the building in the early 1920s for his  “Glazier’s Dry Goods Co.”  When North Bend Way was widened in the 1940s, the building was expanded.

Ward’s son Watt removed the front portion of the original structure and expanded the reinforced concrete structure to its current configuration. Watt’s son, William, ran the business as a clothing, draperies and antique store from the 1970s through the mid-1990s.

In September 2015, the location was used as the site of Nadine Butler Hurley’s Run Silent, Run Drapes shop seen in Twin Peaks Season 3. I love that the Volition Team added a Golden Shovel to their front window just like the show.

The Golden Shovel fun continued inside with a replica golden shovel prop for photos. They also brought back their Golden Shovel beer for the Twin Peaks-themed weekend.

I had to skip out of the game to attend the Twin Peaks Quartet concert at Boxley’s Jazz Club just down the street which started at 8:00 p.m.

Kiara took top prize as the first place winner. Mallie and Heath placed second.
