In Twin Peaks Part 15 from Season 3, Mr. C is seen driving along a two-lane road at night while on his way to the Convenience Store. Thanks to a quick glimpse of a road sign during this sign, I found the film location in Snoqualmie, Washington.
LOCATION WHERE MR. C DRIVES TO THE CONVENIENCE STORE
This brief scene was captured along Tokul Road in Snoqualmie, Washington, just down the street from The Salish Lodge and Snoqualmie Falls. It’s also located near the Tokul Tunnel. The drive on Tokul Road starts around 47.546036, -121.828628 and ends at 47.546233, -121.828660.
The scene concludes at the Convenience Store location which is located outside of North Bend.
The easiest way to find the start to this scene is the turn off parking area along Tokul Road. This spot was most likely used as a staging area for the crew the night they filmed this scene on either September 24 or October 11.
I’m also guessing that the footage was captured by the 2nd Unit. The scenes with Mr. C driving were most likely filmed at the Convenience Store spot.
Across the street from the turn off spot, you’ll spot stairs that lead into the woods.
MR. C STARTS DRIVING
After a brief shot of utility wires, the scene cuts to a dark two-lane road illuminated by lights.
To follow the trail, you will head toward Snoqualmie Falls.
The drive continues down Tokul Road.
HOW I FOUND THE LOCATION WHERE MR. C IS DRIVING
The key to finding this location was the tiny white dot on the right side of the two-lane road. I assumed it was a street sign, so all I had to do was identify what it said.
The same stretch of road with the street sign seen in the distance.
Slowing down the video, I could determine that the sign said something about “Snoqualmie.”
Having visited Snoqualmie Valley regularly since September 2019, I figured the road had to be somewhere above the town of Snoqualmie. Tokul Road seemed like the best fit.
What a joy to see the sign up close. The gravel road behind the sign also matched the episode so I knew I had the correct location.
I returned at night with my DJI Action 3 camera to record the same path Mr. C drove. The image looked very similar to Part 15. There are no street lights so it’s very dark on Tokul Road at night.
MR. C CONTINUES DRIVING TO THE CONVENIENCE STORE
Mr. C continues driving along the tree-lined road. The semi-illuminated sky in the distance could be lights from downtown Snoqualmie.
The same road during the late afternoon.
Look carefully and you’ll see a pole that has been cut on the left side of the road. That’s about the place where the scene ends and cuts to the other side of North Bend.
ARRIVING AT THE CONVENIENCE STORE
The Convenience Store scenes were shot on October 11, 2015. The camera cuts to a view from the driver’s seat of Mr. C’s truck as he approaches the constructed Convenience Store.
Here is about the same spot where Mr. C arrives.
Mr. C parks his vehicle in front of the Convenience Store and gets out.
This is the same gravel lot where the crew constructed the Convenience Store set. It’s long gone now, like a turkey in the corn.
WHY IS IT CALLED TOKUL ROAD?
While researching this article, I learned that Tokul is the official state soil of Washington. Who knew? It’s named Tokul after the small creek and community in King County, Washington. The soil has a unique volcanic ash cap. It’s vital to Washington State as it support the growth of those fantastic trees Agent Dale Cooper loves and is used extensively for the state’s agriculture business.

Outstanding work! What I wouldn’t do for another season 🙏🏻
Thank you! One day I will find all the locations. And yes, another season would be a dream!
