One of the most iconic shots in David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks is the welcome sign. The sign spot is located along Reinig Road in Snoqualmie, Washington. It’s also featured as part of today’s 30th Anniversary artwork on Society6 by Barcelona-based artist Lorena G. Her graphic interpretation of the sign location is giving me flashbacks to the 1980s and 90s.
The Twin Peaks X Society6 collection is no longer available as of 2024. This article is an archive of the artwork featured in this collection released in 2020 for the 30th anniversary of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s wonderful and strange series.
JUNE 24, 2020 – LORENA G.
Freelance illustrator and graphic designer Lorena G.’s captured perfectly a stylized look for the Welcome to Twin Peaks sign spot. I love the geometric shapes and the bold use of bright, vivid colors, particularly the color blue (“It doesn’t get any bluer” to paraphrase Gordon Cole).
WELCOME TO TWIN PEAKS SIGNS
The sign spot first appears in the credits for Pilot Episode. This Setting the Stage article gives all the details about the road sign’s appearances.
Later in the episode, Special Agent Dale Cooper will be seen driving past this spot. The actual Snoqualmie road was named after Leonard and Margaretha Reinig who settled in the region around 1890. They opened the first bakery in Seattle, and operated the Reinig Brothers Store in Snoqualmie.
The sign also makes appearances in David Lynch’s Twin Peaks – Fire Walk With Me and Part 17 on Showtime.
It’s one of my favorite spots to visit when in Snoqualmie Valley.
THE PRODUCTS
Lorena’s artwork appeared on a variety of products including a print, coffee mug, floor pillow, notebook and tote bag.

Several of the designs were once offered on Society6 but are sadly no longer available.
30-DAY COUNTDOWN
Only a handful of days left until the month-long anniversary celebration concludes on Society6. It’s wonderful to see so many cool pieces of art, like “James Hurley” cool … which you know, is pretty darn cool.
