In Twin Peaks Part 14 on Showtime, we are offered a look at James Hurley who is working as a security guard for The Great Northern Hotel. If you are already planning your next Halloween costume, I identified his silver security guard badge.
In Part 14, we see Freddie Sykes and James Hurley cracking walnuts on what appears to be a loading dock behind The Great Northern Hotel.
During this scene, Freddie tells James about his glove. At this point, we are offered a good look at his security badge. It was fairly easy to identify after searching “Security Enforcement Officer Badge.”
The badge appears to be a Rothco Deluxe Security Enforcement Officer Badge. It’s currently offered on the Rothco website for $16.99 either in silver or gold.
If you are creating screen accurate badges, use number “113” for Freddie and number “075” for James.
Now if I could only get my hands on a Great Northern Hotel Security patch. It’s a beauty! The patch incorporates a detail from a mural in Ben Horne’s office best seen in Episode 2020 from Season 2 (top image). It was recreated for his office in Twin Peaks: The Return on Showtime (bottom image).
