In Twin Peaks Part 14 on Showtime, Deputy Andy Brennan is transported to the Fireman’s House. He is shown a series of images projected above him on a white dome. While researching this set for a Vacant Peaks article, I became fascinated with the superimposed images of Special Agent Dale Cooper and Mr. C in…
Late in Twin Peaks Part 3 on Showtime, there is a short six-second establishing shot of the William Penn statue on top of City Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Similar to other establishing shots from Season 3 (such as Diane Evans’ apartment exterior or Yankton Federal Prison), this shot was footage captured by someone else.
I recently identified the film location for the Fireman’s house in Twin Peaks on Showtime. This set was seen in Parts 1, 8, 14, and 17 of Season 3. Interiors were shot at the Tower Theatre in Los Angeles, California, and the house exterior were created by the visual effects team BUF. While researching these…
One of the most incredible sets in Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime is The Fireman’s House. This location appears in four episodes of The Return including Parts 1, 8, 14 and 17. Always shown in black and white, the actual location used was the former Tower Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, California.
In two previous articles, I detailed the locations of the boy and girl scenes from Twin Peaks Part 8 on Showtime. This final article in that series takes a closer look at the arrival of the Frogmoth at the girl’s bedroom. The interior and exterior scenes were shot in the same location as the “Goodnight…
In a previous article, I discussed the film location in Twin Peaks Part 8 on Showtime where a boy (played by Xolo Maridueña) and a girl (played by Tikaeni Faircrest) find a lucky penny near a gas station in New Mexico. The scene set in 1956 continues with the couple walking along a dirt path…
In the latter half of Twin Peaks Part 8 on Showtime, there is a short scene of a boy (played by Xolo Maridueña) and a girl (played by Tikaeni Faircrest) walking by a gas station. This monochromatic scene is supposed to take place on August 5, 1956 in New Mexico. In reality, the scene was…
When Twin Peaks returned in 2017 to Showtime, the opening credits were updated with new footage from the Washington state area. One of the first images seen is tree covered mountains bathed in mist. As it turns out, this location is very familiar to fans – it’s part of the historic Snoqualmie Falls.
In honor of Father’s Day, here’s my love letter to the many ties Ben Horne wears in Twin Peaks, from the Pilot episode through Part 17 of Season 3 on Showtime.
