The first Twin Peak Fan Festival was held on August 14-16 in Snoqualmie Valley, Washington. Organized by the Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce, the weekend event included three days of activities for both Twin Peaks fans and Washington state residents. From a craft fair to a 8K fun run to meals with actors, the festivities concluded with the U.S. premiere of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me at the North Bend Theatre in North Bend. Fellow Bookhouse Boy David Milner attended the first festival where he picked up coffee mugs decorated with the official logo and two town names.

According to the Festival Director, the late Vicki Curnutt, more than 10,000 people were expected to attend the weekend in the towns of Snoqualmie and North Bend. The Chamber had received inquiries from fans all over the United States, Australia, Pakistan, Sweden, Switzerland and Japan.
The event team created an official logo that was found on a number of souvenir items. The logo included nods to the film premiere of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, coffee, cherry pie and the twin peaks of mountains overlooking the towns.
David picked up two different souvenir mugs with color logos, one for each town of North Bend and Snoqualmie, Washington.
On the back of both mugs was the phrase, “Damn Fine Cup of Coffee!” This was a nod to Special Agent Dale Cooper’s dialogue from the show.
The mugs joined three bottles of refreshing Twin Peaks Mountain Spring water sold during the event. Columbia Winery in Woodinville, Washington produced 12,000 bottles for the weekend which were sold for $3.95 each. These items were sold at booths and tents set up on a green area in downtown Snoqualmie.
The mugs and water certainly make for unique souvenirs from the early days of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s show.
