As part of the VIP package for the Real Twin Peaks 2024 event in Snoqualmie Valley, Washington, a private party was held at Twede’s Cafe in North Bend, Washington on February 23. There were two seatings available for ticket holders – 5:00-7:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. During the dining blocks, Wisteria Lodge performed in the front of the cafe. Attendees could also sit in a recreated Norma Jennings’ desk as seen in Twin Peaks season 3, with similar props provided by Jason Mattson. Of course, there was lots of cherry pie and cups of hot, black coffee.
VIP PARTY AT TWEDE’S CAFE
Twede’s Cafe, located at 137 W. North Bend Way in North Bend, was home to the Double R Diner in Twin Peaks. The interior now resembles the diner as seen in the third season of the show. This is the second year that a private party inside Twede’s for the Real Twin Peaks event.
Rachel Bennett and Max Spears assumed ownership of the cafe in March 2020. Since then, they have created a creative haven for those who love the wonderful and strange world of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s series. I feel like home every time I visit.
Staff there are friendly and have always provided me great service!
The dinner is now filled with lots of little nods to the show (courtesy of some recreated props from the series by Jason Mattson). For the party, Jason supplied several replica props from Norma Jennings desk as seen in season 3. She sat near the back left side of the cafe near the kitchen door.
This was a fun photo opportunity, especially due to Jason’s meticulous attention to detail.
REAL TWIN PEAKS DAYS MENU
Twede’s Cafe offered a themed menu for the Real Twin Peaks event. VIP Ticket holders were guaranteed seating while food, beverage and gratuities were separate.
I went with a slice of cherry pie with whipped cream that happened to resemble two peaks. This was mostly because I was running around taking photos and video of the event. You can actually order cherry pie from the “place where pies go when they die.”
WISTERIA LODGE
The Pacific Northwest Dream Pop collective was founded on mystical inspiration. They have a sound that will carry you away beyond the trees to a place both wonderful and strange. You can follow them on both Facebook and Instagram.
Featuring classically trained vocalist Lady K and intuitive producer Dustin Carpenter, they performed several songs from “Spoken Secrets” and several cover songs.
I fell in love with this band during their performance at Snoqualmie Valley Eagles during the Real Twin Peaks 2023 event. Their song “Mercy” is hauntingly beautiful. This trip, I was drawn to “Rearview.” They would soon play both songs during their 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. set.
They also debuted a new song released that day, “Blue Rose,” which is available now on their Bandcamp page. The song was written by Dustin during a trip to New Orleans in 2022. It was recorded and produced at RedRoom Studios in Denver, CO.
Their playlist for this set included the following songs:
- Magdalena
- Mercy
- Blue Rose
- Skyfall
- The Wait
- Axolotl
- Black Sheep
- Chasing Shadows
- Rearview
At one point during the performance, Dustin called up @TrashByCash, a Seattle-based artist whose designs are found throughout the cafe. She even designed a Agent Cooper sticker for Real Twin Peaks 2024 which Kyle MacLachlan gave out during his meet and greet on Sunday (that’s a different story).
Dustin had her visit tables to select from four different genres, a sort of “choose your own adventure” playlist. The genres were Dream, Rock, Epic and Outlaw Country. This made for a fun twist to their evening performance.

Thanks, Steven, for all your coverage of Real Twin Peaks. It’s a real treat for fans who couldn’t make it.
Thank you for the kind words! I’m glad you are enjoying the stories. I still have more to write, so please stay tuned. It was such a fun event!
