Twin Peaks X Society6 – Fire Walk With Me

Twin Peaks X Society6 Collection - Fire Walk With Me

Today’s Society6 artwork by Tyler Elise incorporates a familiar phrase to any one in the Twin Peaks community – Fire Walk With Me. It has appeared as a tattoo, on a slip of paper, and as part of the title from David Lynch’s 1992 film Twin Peaks – Fire Walk With Me. Here’s a brief look at how these iconic words inspired Tyler’s artwork.

JUNE 11 – TYLER ELISE

Twin Peaks X Society6 - Fire Walk With Me

Tyler’s stylized artwork features this key phrase first seen in the Pilot Episode more than 30 years ago.

FIRE WALK WITH ME

Fire Walk With Me
1000

In the Pilot, Special Agent Cooper and Sheriff Harry Truman visit an abandoned train car which served as the spot where Laura Palmer was killed. They discover a note with the words “Fire Walk With Me” at the base of a mound of dirt containing half of a gold-heart necklace.

Mike the One Armed Man
1002

We later learn that this phrase is part of a poem first uttered by Mike, the One Armed Man. We see this either at the end of the International Pilot or in Episode 1002 during Agent Cooper’s dream.

“Through the darkness of future’s past, the magician longs to see. One chants out between two worlds, ‘Fire Walk With Me.’”

Killer Bob's Tattoo
International Pilot

Killer Bob had the phrase tattooed on his left arm, which is best seen in the International Pilot ending when he waits for Cooper and Truman to arrive.

This phrase will continue to be heard throughout the series and feature film. Looks like I’ll need to write a separate article about such things.
