The Twin Peaks fan community has an endless supply of creative energy. I love seeing how artists interpret my favorite television through stunning imagery and thought-provoking expression. That is why I’m particularly delighted to announce a month-long celebration from Showtime and Society6‘s independent community of artists. Fans will discover a damn fine collection of art through 30 days of exclusive fan art drops, dedicated to eccentric characters, iconic lines and trademark themes. Here is a look at artwork that celebrates the show’s 30th anniversary.
The Twin Peaks X Society6 collection is no longer available as of 2024. This article is an archive of the artwork featured in this collection released in 2020 for the 30th anniversary of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s wonderful and strange series.
JUNE 1 – STEVEN RHODES
Steven Rhodes, an illustrator and graphic designer living in Brisbane, Australia created the featured artwork inspired by The Black Lodge.
Is there a more iconic shot than, to paraphrase Regional Bureau Chief Gordon Cole, the “babe without the arms.”
I still recall the first time seeing Episode 2.022 (#29) and being blown away by all of Black Lodge / Red Room scenes.
When asked about his work for this Society6 collection, Steven said the art “came from a place of great love for Twin Peaks ever since I watched it many, many years ago.”
You may recognize Steven’s retro-inspired style from other items he’s created for Threadless, Spencer’s, Wicked Clothes, Hot Topic and more. Follow him on Instagram (@StevenRhodesArt) and check out his website, which is basically like my childhood sprung to life.
Steven’s first piece was available as an art print, framed art print, metal print and canvas print on Society6’s website.
30 DAY COUNTDOWN
So the countdown is on. Here’s to 30 days of damn fine art.
