In Twin Peaks Parts 9 and 10 on Showtime, we visit the Horne Residence, home to Sylvia Horne, former wife of Benjamin Horne and mother to Audrey and Johnny. According to Mark Frost’s “Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier,” following the events of Season 2’s ending, Sylvia eventually divorced Ben and moved into a “McMansion” in an upscale neighborhood of Twin Peaks. The actual film location is of a private residence around the Snoqualmie / North Bend region.

I’ve actually been sitting on this location since July 16, 2017, the night that Part 10 aired on Showtime. Since this is a private residence in a secluded area, I won’t post the specific address. Finding it, however, wasn’t too challenging since the street number is seen on the front mailbox.

The 4,920 sq. ft. home was built in 2006 and contains 5 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.

Here is a map where several scenes took place at the spot.

Thanks to Google Earth, we have a similar view of where he drives down the street.

Besides the street number, the key to identifying this spot was the basketball court lines found in the cul-de-sac. Look carefully to spot them in the episode.

Another look at Richard driving through the cul-de-sac to his grandmother’s home. Red, black and white … that can’t be a coincidence.

Richard parks in the driveway. I love the fact the house has two peaks on the found (ala “Twin Peaks”).

The interior action took place inside the house; they didn’t build a set for this location. The scene ends with Richard leaving with stolen goods.

As mentioned, this is a private residence is a private community, so please no trespassing!

Very Lovely Dream

More views of the home can be seen in Charles de Lauzirika’s A Very Lovely Dream: One Week in Twin Peaks on the Season 3 Blu-ray release.

Hear Charles speak about his work with Ben and Bryon from Twin Peaks Unwrapped, Episode 138.

  1. I know _exactly_ where this is as it is close to my own home. (It was kind of cool seeing my own ‘hood in a scene). As this house is in a gated community, the two ways in a rando pedestrian could wander in would likely have you answering to the SnoPo. So I’ll re-iterate the no trespassing, however, there are miles of trails around the area open to the public taking you through parks, around outside the golf course, and spectacular views of the cascades.
