Vacant Peaks – The Fireman’s House

Empty Chair

I recently identified the film location for the Fireman’s house in Twin Peaks on Showtime. This set was seen in Parts 1, 8, 14, and 17 of Season 3. Interiors were shot at the Tower Theatre in Los Angeles, California, and the house exterior were created by the visual effects team BUF.  While researching these episodes , I discovered several empty scenes perfect for another Vacant Peaks article.

VACANT PEAKS – SCENES FROM THE FIREMAN’S HOUSE WITHOUT PEOPLE

This ongoing series captures glimpses of buildings, sets, props or details without people. There are, however, a few scenes from the Fireman’s house that include images of people projected on a movie screen or on the ceiling (and don’t forget the golden Laura Palmer orb, Major Briggs’ floating head, and Mr. C’s head in a cage). I don’t consider those images the same as scenes with actual actors or actresses (it would be like leaving a television on in an empty room). Finally, I did not include images of naked Naido in the woods from Part 14 out of respect for actress Nae Yuuki.
