In Twin Peaks Part 5 on Showtime, there is an establishing shot of the Pentagon at night in Arlington, Virginia. Similar to footage of Buenos Aires and Diane Evans’ apartment, this short clip is stock footage from Getty Images.

WHERE IS THE PENTAGON AT NIGHT LOCATED?

In the episode, the establishing shot runs about 5-seconds. It then cuts to Colonel Davis sitting behind a desk.

Since I assumed the footage was stock, I turned to Getty Images and searched “Pentagon at night.” The key to identifying the actual video clip was the building lights that are turned off toward the end of the scene in Part 5.

The original 20-second clip can be found HERE on Getty Images. Like the Buenos Aires and New York stock videos, this 4K clip cost $575.

Captured by Artbeats in 2011, the clip is described as “Slow approach to the Pentagon at night.”
